frozen sky

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.” ― Edith Sitwell

Everything is ever so frozen.
Not just the ice and snow, but the air and everything in it.
When you look at the silver moon as it glisten and shines like crystals, it almost seem like the sky has frozen into ice and in that moment even time seems to have frozen,
every second blurring into one.

Even with the bitter cold, There is something magical about this season.
It's like the world slows down and hibernates. It's a time of reflection, renewal and slowing down.

It's the time of year to...
Grab a book and hide under a quilt,
Make hot coco and watch an old period drama (*Cough* Pride and Prejudice *Cough*)
Have long phone calls with dear friends,
Look at old pictures and watch home videos,
Just eat (Can i get an AMEN?)
Dream of my upcoming trip to Florida and NC,
Cuddle with a friend,
Have quite time with God and work though some hard things,
Get coffee with a friend and talk, heart to heart,
Write a letter,
Listen to lovely music, that touches the soul,
And to just sit and think.

I know that winter can get you down, but remember, Every season comes to an end and this winter soon to shall pass, so enjoy it and put your daydreams of spring in the back of your heart for a few small moments.
And remember: Don't spend winter, waiting for spring.

Love,
Hannah <3
